What Is the Main Work of QNET?

Since its inception in 1998, many have wondered: What is the main work of QNET? Here’s what we know. It’s a direct selling company offering a wide range of products created to help people live healthier lives and improve their lifestyles through its e-commerce-powered platform.

The direct selling company, headquartered in Hong Kong, offers motivated individuals the opportunity to become successful entrepreneurs in their own right by selling unique QNET products. As a result, many aspiring entrepreneurs, which the company calls independent representatives and distributors, have been able to change their lives and financial situations.

The direct selling company gets mistaken for an investment scheme. But the truth of the matter is that it’s not any type of scheme. It’s a legitimate business where people only pay for products purchased. Independent representatives and distributors aren’t required to recruit more people to the industry, which is what sets it apart from scammy MLM companies.

The company states, “You cannot make money in this business by recruiting people without selling products and services. Only pyramid schemes focus on recruiting people. Such schemes are not sustainable and will inevitably collapse. [This company’s] business is based on a sustainable sales model that does not allow anyone to make money solely through recruitment. And that’s why even after 20 years, we continue to grow and expand internationally.”

Independent representatives are the heart and soul of the company. “An independent representative is a person who is referred by an existing distributor and registers on [the company] website with a unique identification number. This person is now  entitled to promote QNET’s products and services to others and earn a commission on successful sales, ” states the company. “The relationship between [the direct selling company] and independent representatives is regulated by its policies and procedures and code of ethics, which focus on the independent representative’s fair and ethical practices as a QNET independent representative and their compliance with the laws of their country.”

Independent representatives are required to understand and accept the company’s policies and procedures and code of ethics during their registration. QNET CEO Malou Caluza stated, “While direct selling is more than a century old, in many emerging economies, it is still in very early stages and hence, not properly understood. As a result, many people assume it is some type of financial or investment scheme, and they are wary of it. To address this, we focus on education and awareness through social media campaigns, stakeholder engagement, training and events, PR programs, seminars, etc., to help people understand the positive socio-economic impact of direct selling. We also educate them about the difference between legitimate direct selling businesses and illegal pyramid schemes.”

Caluza explained that the company strives “to help them build their business in a sustainable manner for the long term. This includes leadership development, professional business practices, utilizing technology to manage their business, and much more. Through this comprehensive 360 [degree] approach, we aim to empower aspiring entrepreneurs to become professional CEOs of their businesses. We also have a robust system of collecting feedback from our [independent representative] community. This is evident in our ever-growing list of topics. In addition, through our sister organization, the V, we engage with our IRs regularly to understand their needs and tweak or change our training based on the evolving demographic of independent representatives.”

It’s s Necessary To Understand That QNET Is Not a Job Opportunity

The company doesn’t hire or employ distributors and independent representatives. Instead, entrepreneurs own their own businesses. This allows them to establish a work schedule that fits best with their lifestyle. The direct selling business states, “The company does not hire or select independent representatives. Potential independent representatives attend business presentations and training programs conducted by other independent representatives, and they are free to decide whether this business is suitable for them.” In that regard, one might deduce that the main work of the company is to provide a platform for motivated individuals to build their own successful businesses.

The company states, “The only way to earn an income with [this direct selling platform] is through product sales. Once you use our products, enjoy them, and refer others to purchase them, you can earn commissions on actual sales. [The direct selling business] uses a compensation plan that calculates commissions payable to you based on the sales volume generated through your referrals in our e-commerce portal. As a result, many aspiring entrepreneurs have taken advantage of our business model to build large sales teams and grow a successful business.”

How Does the Business Work?

QNET’s business is a mixture of the principles of two major industries: e-commerce and direct sales. “Any customer purchasing a product from [the company] can choose to take up the opportunity to become an independent representative or be just a consumer,” according to the company. “Independent representatives have the opportunity to earn commissions from the sale of products and or services to their direct referrals, and also from the sales of products/services to the referrals made by their teams in line with our compensation plan (commission plan). It is important to note that commissions are paid only for the sale of products/services and not for referrals. Independent representatives are typically introduced to the company’s products, services, and business plan by other independent representatives who have taken up the business opportunity.”

For QNET customers interested in it as a business opportunity, the direct selling company offers in-depth training programs and business development workshops. The company states, “During the training, they are advised on our policies and procedures, the business model, the compensation plan, and the proper and ethical business practices. Independent representatives, in turn, build their own teams for whom these sessions are conducted.”
