Users report a bug in Google Calendar that generates fake events randomly.

Many users reported strange glitches in Google Calendar’s mobile app over the past few weeks. Based on Gmail messages, the app seems to generate random events that are non-existent throughout the day.

Many types of emails, including delivery notifications, purchase receipts and newsletters, appear to appear in calendar events throughout the day. This is the easiest way to fix this issue. Go to your Google Calendar settings, and disable Show Events from Gmail. It’s also quite acceptable, in general, if it’s what you want. Keep spam invitations off your calendar.
