LG increased the brightness of the G2 and C2 series of TVs last year to new heights, greatly improving its impressive OLED lineup. These TVs are considered to be the best for the money due to their excellent black levels, incredible contrast and top-notch gaming capabilities. LG’s new models will help it improve its position at CES 2023.

It will increase brightness while also focusing software optimizations and image processing.

According to LG’s press release the G3 succeeds G2 and “incorporates all-new light control architectures and light enhancement algorithms that increase brightness by as much as 70%,” LG stated. This is a comparison to OLED “traditional” — think about the B2 series last year — so don’t expect a 70% jump over the G2. But that is not all. WillBe brighter that G2. It’s brighter than G2. LG’s G-series TVs are indeed LG’s most attractive in terms of design and aesthetics. With the G3, the company claims there is no visible gap when the TV is mounted on a wall.

Although the G3 may be brighter and cooler, the C3 OLED will continue to be the LG TV that most people choose for the best price and performance. It features the same HDMI 2.1a support as G3 and can be expected get some image upgrades. But, it will mostly come down to the better processing. LG says this is thanks to the new α9 AI Processor Gen6 chip. Here’s the marketing strategy:

LG’s AI deep-learning technology is used in the Alpha series processors to provide great sound and picture quality. AI Picture Pro now has improved upscaling to provide better clarity and dynamic tone mapping that helps reveal depth and detail in every frame. AI Picture Pro integrates image processing technology that detects, improves, and enhances important objects such as faces to give them a more realistic HDR. In addition to fine-tuning image reproduction, the α9 AI Processor Gen6 supports LG’s AI Sound Pro; It is a feature that helps viewers get immersed in the action on screen by providing 9.1.2 virtual surround sound from the TV’s built-in speaker system.

LG’s “single-wall design” on the G3 OLED should eliminate any visible gaping during installation.

The webOS software, which runs on LG TVs, is getting some design tweaks and UX improvements. The company has added “Quick Cards”, which group apps and services in thematic categories such as home office, games, and sports. LG claims that webOS’s content carousels will have better personalized recommendations. LG claims that the home screen in 2022 felt disjointed and was reassembled in 2022. So hopefully LG’s efforts will make a difference.

We learned this the hard way upon release The latest Apple TV 4K from AppleLG OLEDs support 2023 QMSVRR. QMS stands for Quick Media Switching. This feature eliminates the black screen at the end of changing between video frame rates. (He. She NoAvoid blackouts when switching between HDR mode. LG’s new line-up will continue to offer the same wide range of software features that they have had in recent years. The good news is that players don’t need to worry:

LG’s OLED TVs, which are self-illuminating, offer the ultimate gaming experience. They feature a 0.1ms response, low input latency, and up four HDMI 2.1a compatible ports. LG OLED TVs also come with Game Optimizer which allows users to quickly select and switch between game-specific features like game screen presets. G-SYNC settings® FreeSync™ Premium compatibility and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) are easily accessible from Game Enhancer as well.

LG is just beginning with its pre-CES 2023 TV ads. I hope I get a chance to visit Las Vegas soon to see this year’s lineup in person. What improvements will you see in webOS? What screen sizes do you have? Stay tuned for more information. Follow along with StoryStream this weekStay up-to-date with the latest news
