We interviewed Rick Kowalski, Director for Industry Analysis and Business Intelligence at CTA. This is the organization behind our interview. CES Trade Show. We discussed the main theme of this years CES show, the products he believes stand out, and the companies that made them.

Mr. Kowalski also showed examples of how artificial intelligence can solve many sustainability-related problems. You can read the summary of the interview below, or watch the entire thing in the video.

Please read the following: The best products of CES 2023

Q: Could you briefly discuss the main themes at CES this year?

a:We were able to team up with the Global Academy of Arts and Sciences this year to cover technologies that aid in human security. These include the right to political freedom, protection of the environment, and even food.

John Deere, a company that focuses on agriculture, is one example of John Deere who is present at CES. Sustainability is a great overarching theme for this year and it’s the first time we’ve chosen the theme for CES.

Q: Do you know of any brands at CES that are particularly focused on sustainability?

    John Deere 2 tractor

a:Yes, John Deere and others are also looking for ways to increase food sustainability.

There are also companies that are searching for alternative proteins. They create proteins and then remove animals and any other substances that could be harmful to the environment.

Food tech around sustainability is my favorite. It focuses on how to use water efficiently and how to grow crops without using pesticides.

Q: What about the products. Are there any products that stood out to you at CES?

    Novelab

    Mitja Rutnick / Android Authority

a:It is difficult to choose just one, but I can name the one. Novelab. It allows you to take pictures of your meals and then uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze what’s on it and determine how many calories and nutrients it contains. You can also use the app to count calories if you’re on diet.

Nuvilab’s technology can also help with sustainability.

This technology is already being used in restaurants and can aid with sustainability. You can use it to examine plates after customers eat to determine how much food was thrown away. These data can then be analyzed and used to make decisions, such as reducing food waste by serving smaller portions. This is an example how AI can be used in solving some of these large problems.

Q: We also saw an FDA-approved hearing aid called Eargo. What are your thoughts on hearing aid technology generally?

    Ergo 7

a:This was a major breakthrough in hearing technology. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), approved regulations last year that allowed the use of over-the counter hearing aids. The old system required you to obtain a prescription, then pay a lot for the headset. But now there are many options.

The FDA has approved the Eargo, which is a significant hurdle. This product could be a huge help to millions of Americans with hearing loss who had previously refused treatment because it was too expensive.

This is a brief overview of our conversation with Rick Kowalski at CES in Las Vegas. The entire interview can be viewed at the top of this page.
