It will all be done through Samsung.

The self-repair tool asks Samsung about its partnership with iFixit. The repair company is not mentioned in the app as a partner. We reached out iFixit to inquire if they will continue working with Samsung on the new application or if it will be a solo project. A representative of the company replied to our inquiry and said that they have no comment at the moment.

We also reached out Samsung to find out if they could answer any questions we had about the app or when S22 users can expect support in the self repair program. Although it is possible for the program to expand, the trademark application does not guarantee anything. This story will be updated in the future.
