Asrock Taichi is wrapped in its AM5 premium motherboard chipset X670E. You’ll get more PCIe lanes and USB ports than the B650. All of this is DDR5, so plan accordingly.
It supports AMD’s new Ryzen7000 series with a completely redesigned socket. No pins are required on this CPU, unlike the Ryzen 5000.
Let’s talk about the cool unboxing experience. For $499, you get top-quality packaging with windows so that you can see the motherboard inside. Yes please! The Asrock X670E Taichi feels great, in every way. It is the most innovatively designed motherboard on the market. It is distinguished by its “gear” in gold and silver accents. This golden figure is located on the PCIe side and moves up to the I/O shield. (Yes, we can see an integrated I/O shield!
The I/O shield has its own charm. From an aesthetic standpoint, the design at the back, which is usually considered a boring USB port offering is quite odd. Blue and gold make a great combination, while also introducing some “gear” themes. VRM stands to be business and Taichi is exactly what it looks like in its northern region.
Taichi’s motherboards have backplates that are a hallmark of premium motherboards. It gives the panel a high quality tactile feel when held in your hand. The front end is smaller for RGB fans. There is a nice backlighting and the Taichi logo is well lit in the bottom PCIe area. It is a beautiful motherboard that appeals to both gamers as well as content creators.
Asrock X670E Taichi Performance, Software and BIOS
The VRM phase design of 24 +2 + 1 packing 105 ams and an eight-layer PCB will make this the right home for even the Ryzen 9 7950X. Asrock is known for adding value where it counts.

Asrock has received numerous BIOS updates. We expect that the longer than normal boot times will improve. The poster gives some estimates of boot times after clearing the CMOS. A worst case scenario would see four sticks (32GB), taking up to 400 seconds. (That’s approximately 7 minutes for those who are watching!
