Twitch’s first major outage in 2023 brings it down

Twitch is now recovering from its 2023 major outage. The streaming site displayed accounts with blank pages, or “an error occurred,” giving it the appearance that someone had deleted their accounts.

Both desktop and mobile users were affected by the Twitch outage. Android and iOS users experienced an “error loading followed channel” error when opening the app. Twitch mobile users couldn’t scroll down to streamers using the search feature.

Twitch marked the problem as solved at around 1:10 PM ET. on its status page 2:23 p.m. ET. The company said that the outage may have manifested in chat not working or login difficulties, poor searching, etc.”
