After the AirPods have been paired via Bluetooth, open another Finder window. Click Apps in the sidebar and then open the Utilities folder. You can also click Utilities on the Go Finder menu. Or press Shift+ Command + U.

In the left section, select the boxes next the AirPods that you want to use. You can also choose from any two other output devices.

Finally, choose the new device that you have created from the Sound menu. Enjoy sharing the audio with your friend.
