Amazon plans to close the AmazonSmile program. The program, which allows customers to donate 0.5% from the purchase price of eligible products to a charity, was launched in 2013.– (NEXSTAR). Amazon will end its charitable program, AmazonSmile within the next few weeks to “focus its charitable gift on programs that have the greatest impact.”
