The runner-up choice, which received 17.6% of votes, was “I use two to more of these solutions”. This is logical, as smaller files may be more suitable for certain methods (eg email), while larger files may need a cable or something similar fast.

Cloud storage (16%) rounded out the platform. Other than that, “Wireless”, which received around 14 percent of the votes, also won a lot of support. Close Share, PushBullet, Link To Windows were some of the most popular options.

    Comments

    • Ayayo, I send the file to myself via a messaging platform because it’s easiest and provides the best user experience. It doesn’t require additional software.
    • ShabhamI bought a USB3.0 Cable to copy files from my PC to my phone and vice versa. USB 2.0 is five times slower than USB 3.0.
    • Hemanth Jabalpuri: I use an Android FTP/HTTP server with MiXplorer and sometimes MTP over a wired connection.
    • This secondkisa: I’m an old school. I use a USB cable.
    • visiononicAmazing USB transfer is better than MTP. Android seems to be very selective about what files it accepts and Computuer freezes every now and again. Because it’s simpler, I use an SD Card reader. (This is also why my Android phone supports SD cards!)
    • dunnywastaken:Syncthing I also use this to transfer files to my Steam Deck.
    • allhailerisI use a cable to transfer large files, such as music or videos, to my phone. Pushbullet and Telegram allow me to push small files. Telegram allows you to push files up 2GB. Both works on both my Android and PC devices.
    • Lawrence Obin: I use Microsoft Link Windows mostly, sometimes a USB Cable and sometimes I send via Email.
    • Todd HeathKDE connect for Windows was used for file transfers over WiFi. It’s great to be a KDE port.
    • B!: Insert the Type C adapter in my phone, back up files on SD card, then insert the Type C connector into my PC. Move/copy files to my computer.
    • Glenn MLG: I must use the 15GB Google gives me to share files between my phone & my laptop. However, this is limited to smaller files as the internet in my area can be very slow. I would recommend a wired connection for larger files.
