Is it necessary to do so? No. Are heated car seats required? No. However, once you begin using File Explorer tabs, it will be hard to give them up.

They are very simple. File Explorer tabs work in the same way as browser tabs. It’s a compact way to navigate backwards and forwards without having to open another window. You’re probably familiar with File Explorer. This allows you to open a folder and use Copy or Cut to move files between folders. Then, navigate through the file hierarchy to find the folder. This is a pain. This is a pain.

This is the whole purpose of a tabbed file browser: open one folder or drive in one tab and the target folder/drive in another. You can then go back and forth, and ensure that the correct files are copied into the correct folders. You can also open any other File Explorer tabs you like. It’s that simple.

How to get started using File Explorer Tabs
