    How to make your smartphone photos look better

    Smartphone cameras and software that automatically processes photos have become so great at creating amazing photos on the move that most people don’t even own a separate camera anymore (except for a few).     Editing a RAW file is more work, but it allows the photographer more control over the light and color in the image after it’s been taken—and in some cases, enough pixels to crop the image significantly while still looking crisp. Here’s how to get started.

    What is RAW?

    Raw data is a fancy way of saying raw data. There are lots of it. Many phones automatically take photos and save them to the camera.     iPhone RAW settings

    Android has RAW options

    The steps to find RAW settings in your Android phone vary depending on the manufacturer and device. For more information, please visit your phone’s support page.

    If you own one of these, Pixel phones from GoogleAndroid 13 users should open the Camera app. Tap the down arrow in top left corner and choose More settings. Next, click the button beside the RAW+JPEG control. The camera will capture the image both in JPEG and RAW formats. However, larger files can be saved to a separate RAW folder within the Google Photos app.
